ZTE and UIT construct Shanghai telecom IPTV Project

DoSTOR Apr 7 ,2008--ZTE won the bid in the third upgrade project of Shanghai telecom IPTV Project. As partner of ZTE, UIT supplied more than 60 sets of BM2900 FC disk arries in this program.

IPTV (IP Television) is a digital television service delivered using Internet Protocol over a network infrastructure, which may include delivery by a broadband connection. For residential users, IPTV is often provided in conjunction with Video on Demand and may be bundled with Internet services such as Web access and VoIP.  

As China's first IPTV brand, ZTE Corporation, contracted to build Shanghai Telecom IPTV projects, a typical commercial IPTV project in China. As an important cooperation partner of ZTE, UIT had provided powerful support on storage solutions to ZTE. BM2900, 4G FC disk array, combined with a powerful set of internal and external software utilities, the BM2900 offers a versatile and powerful storage system.
