Quantum Sets Sights on China's Manufacturers

Cui Hao @ 2008-05-28 09:48 DOIT Media Group

DoSTOR May 28,2008--Quantum is an influential brand name in broadcasting network industry. However, some journalists ask why Quantum has not been present on CCBN2008 (China Content Broadcasting Network Exhibition) ,while many of its rivals have attended this event.

As for this question, Sean Liu, the principal advisor of the Great China Area division of Quantum stated that Quantum has close ties with integrators in broadcasting industry such as Dayang and Sobey. Quantum always is selective in choosing the exhibitions and events, such as the users event of Dayang, which Quantum attends every year. However, Quantum now pays more attention to the broader market.

According to Sean Liu, Quantum is gradually moving to finance, telecommunication and manufacturing industries, especially manufacturing, which Quantum didn't view as a big market before. However, as Quantum goes forward, it finds that manufacturing has a great potential development space.

"We have gained great traction in the automobile and electronics manufacturing industries. We have constructed the Asia's the biggest virtual tape library (VTL) storage environment in FAW (First Automobile Works, also know as FAW)".

Xie Anping, the market director of great China area, believes that Quantum would gain more momentum in manufacturing and other industries.
