The leading Chinese storage manufacturer UIT announced they have acquired European storage vendor Arystorand will set up its European R&D center based on Arystor’s R&D team in Ireland. This is the fourth R&D center of UIT, following its 3 R&D centers in Shenzhen China, Wuhan China and Silicon Valley America. The new R&D center will be good for UIT to implement its global strategy and explore Europe markets.

Arystor is devoted to design and develop mid-range high-performance RAID storage controllers. With more than 15 years’ experience, its core development team are able to make complete customize storage system, including disk array controller, JBOD controller and disk array management software. More than thousands sets of Arystor products, featuring high reliability, high performance and energy-saving were deployed worldwide, especially in Europe and the United States.

UIT expands its controller R & D technology through this acquisition to provide customers with more comprehensive products - from iSCSI to fiber, as well as green storage and unified storage solutions. UIT European R & D center will continue to develop storage controllers, and will emphasize on the development of high-end software, such as de-duplication, storage, data encryption, CDP, as well as asynchronous remote replication. UIT will transform from professional storage manufacturer to a data storage solutions and services provider gradually in the coming days. We believe that as an independent innovation, UIT will open up a new era for China storage industry.
