Beijing, China – 16 March 2009 – United Information Technology (UIT), a leading storage solutions provider in China, today announced it has completed the acquisition of Arystor Limited, a leader in the design and development for high performance RAID storage controllers in Europe.  With this acquisition, UIT has established its European R&D Center in Ireland. This transaction reaffirms UIT’s global strategy to better serve our customers and assists UIT to strategically enter the European market.

Arystor focuses on design and development of mid-range, high performance RAID storage controllers.  Arystor’s core development team has more than 15 years of experience and can customize network storage systems for customers, including RAID controller, JBOD controller and array management software.  With features such as high performance, high reliability and environmentally friendly, products of Arystor appeal to customers all over the world with thousands of its products being used in the US and Europe.  UIT’s acquisition of Arystor further enhanced our development capability of storage controller core technology.  UIT can now provide customers a more comprehensive suite of storage products ranging from iSCSI to Fibre Channel, and advanced solutions in green storage and unified storage.

UIT’s European R&D center will continue to develop storage controller applications, with key focus on the development of high-end storage software.  UIT will expand from being a provider of specialized storage products to being an integrated provider of storage products, solutions and services.
